Music Monday
I am a lover of music. Aficionado. I used to post music I work out to here and haven’t in a long time, I feel I should get back on that. This being mainly a health and fitness blog, it’d be best to post music to move to! Many of you probably know about Girl Talk (specially thanks to Tiki!), and I’ve loved them for a while, too! Here are some of my faves, among others:
Music Monday Tuesday
(because it might as well be Monday!)
Music could easily be the love of my life! I need it at work to get me through and I need it to work out just the same! Here are some jams that help me get through and maybe will help you, too!
- 311 - “All Mixed Up” (that’s right, I’m taking it back with this one, love me some 311)
- Estelle Featuring Kanye West - “American Boy” (I know, I know…but this song is so lively it just gets me going)
- Bon Jovi - “Runaway” (this song is just so aggressive and pumping, I love it)
- Disturbed - “Stupify” (because who doesn’t think some metal rock gets them going)
- No Doubt - “Spiderwebs” (*sigh* classic No Doubt always gets me going)
- Super Mash Bro - “Boom Boom Pau” (pumped up mash up of some good songs)
- David Guetta feat. Fergie - “Gettin’ Over You” (this might be played out to you by now but come on, it gets you moving and booty shaking)
There I go with my wide range in music taste, but hope you enjoy!
Yeah, I could use a dream or a genie or a wish
To go back to a place much simpler than this
Cause after all the partying, the smashin’ and crashin’
And all the glips and the glam and the fashion
And all the pandemonium and all the madness
There comes a time where you fade to the blackness
And when you starin’ at that phone in your lap
And you hopin’ but them people never call you back
But that’s just how the story unfolds
You get another hand soon after you fold
And when your plans unravel in the sand
What would you wish for if you had one chance ……
Yeah, yeah
Somebody take me back to the days
Before this was a job
Before I got payed
Before it ever matter what I had in my bank
Yeah, back when I was tryin’ to get a tip at Subway
Music Monday
Oh music, whatever would I do without you when I am grueling my ass to work harder during work outs? During a workout I need music like I need air I tell you. So here are some jams that keep my ass in check and moving:
- Blackstreet feat Dr. Dre - “No Diggity” An old school jam that shows my age if some of you folk don’t know it! I like the way you work it, no diggity, no doubt.
- Psychedelic Furs - “Love My Way” Ah, got to sneak in some 80s jams every now and then, oldie but a goodie with a proper beat.
- No Doubt - “Hella Good” Such a feel-good song, love it.
- Britney Spears feat. Pharrel - “Boys (Remix)” During her sexy phase and the music resonated that. What would it take for you to leave with me? Not trying to sound conceited but you and me are meant to be…
- Billy Idol - “White Wedding” An 80s jam staple! And f.y.i. it seems Billy Idol never ages!
As you can tell, my taste in music ranges far and beyond so hope you find something you may like or didn’t know about and want to try here!

Roomie didn’t realize the gems he has in there!! These are only a FEW! Has tons of Joni Mitchell, Beatles, Elton John, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, Journey, etc!!!
Took a cab to the bar last night and what did our driver surprise us with?
An LCD in our cab playing music videos lol!
