Sweet Evie Bella I miss her so much it hurts. I haven’t seen her in over a week because of this damn throat cough demon. It is now a lingering cough that won’t go away! I’ve been taking care of myself but it’s just following me where I go. If it persists, I GUESS I’ll go to the doctor, since my health insurance has finally kicked back in. By the way, this is her favorite way to sleep. One arm up. Such a G.

I AM NOW A PROUD AUNTIE TO MISS EVIE BELLA Today, on 1/8/11, Evie has entered the building, yes, she now shares a birthday with the one and only Elvis! Words cannot explain how I feel about her! She is so precious!!! My second time being in the delivery room, but this time with my only sister and her husband. I cannot even express how proud I am of her. She was in labor with full on contractions for two full days, and she handled them like a champ. Then when it came to pushing, she impressed even the doctor and nurses! The nurse was amazed at how strong her muscles that she even had to press the muscle down so baby can get through. Mind you, my sister is normally 5’3” and about 110lbs, she was all belly, and a large belly it was. She pushed for about an hour and did so like a champ, she did not cry or scream and barely broke a sweat, she was calm and focused and then she pushed out Evie. All 8lbs 6oz (19 inches long) of her! Little compact chubby baby!!! Perfectly healthy little baby girl welcomed to this world! And my sister goes to prove that it most definitely helps to be fit and healthy prior to getting pregnant. My sister planned her pregnancy, she prepared for it by getting fit and toned and eating right. I’m sure everybody is different and pregnancies and deliveries vary, but I am sure that her being fit and healthy prior helped a lot! Did I mention she has my fingers? Can’t see them there much, but she has long fingers with long nail beds just like me :) She sleeps with her mouth open like her daddy, peaceful like her mommy, and let’s be honest, most chubby babies are just jolly.
