Winter in LA. This is why I pay what I do to live here. This almost made up for me not being able to do 12.2. Almost.
Southern California in the winter. Got to love it.
I ACTUALLY felt that one…
…usually I sleep through all the earthquakes….or I am driving….or in the dungeon known as CrossFit….
5.9 so I hear…
You know the last real big one to hit us was the Northridge quake….sadly we are way overdue, and that’s a frightening thought.
It is SO nice outside, like 80 degrees nice, and I’m stuck in the damn office
pity party, party of 1!
Guess who didn’t wake up from the earthquake at 4am?
Me! I always sleep through earthquakes. I even slept through Northridge earthquake in ‘94 that was a 6.7…and I woke up after it was over to an empty house and found my family standing outside the house…they left me inside, nice huh?
There’s a 99% chance that California experiences a massive earthquake in the next 30 years.
Dammit, science.

Shit.

Hate to be a downer on this hump day, but come on, some people are despicable. There was a safe surrender site a 1/2 mile away.
I might be in love with Cali shopping.
I decided to pop into Marshalls this afternoon and was shocked to find some of the best deals ever in just a few minutes!
I got a lovely satin Theory dress for $25, two pairs of J Brand jeans (one skinny, one boot cut) for $30 each, and lastly the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream I’ve been spying for a while for just $10!
I have a feeling I will be paying Marshalls another visit before I leave.
The original prices of all of these pieces would have totaled over $650!
A lesson for all of you and myself to NEVER pay full price!
This is also why i live in Cali! Hehe…the shopping can be pretty amazeballs out here and definitely tons of options for bargain shopping for quality items. Good job Tatiana!
Economy is Still Hard Knocks in Cali
5,500 applications to 190 jobs in 2 weeks.
“As soon as the Craigslist ad went out that’s when we just got nailed,” said restaurant manager David Sponheim.
Over the course of a two-week job drive Lazy Dog Café managers received 5,500 applications, more than double the number at their previous locations just a few months ago. There were only 190 jobs to be had.
The California Supreme Court ruled today that the state’s limits on how much a medical marijuana patient can possess is unconstitutional.
The law that was originally passed in 2003 that said patients could only have up to 8 oz of dried marijuana and grow up to 6 mature and 12 immature plants.
But now, medical marijuana patients could possess as much as is “reasonably related to the patients personal needs.
I am over winter. There I said it. I am over the cold, the dry itchy skin, the staticky hair, the icy cold floors in the morning, the coats, the boots, the snow, the… you get the picture.
Right now more than anything I want this. I want a warm sunny day, a lovely meadow, and a sweet little sundress. And maybe a pair of heels.
Please?

This sort of post makes me sad for others because we have it so good here in Southern California, it’s a nice sunny day and has been for the past few weeks! I couldn’t bear living in the snow. I love to visit and vacation in it but don’t think I’d last too long living in it.
