CrossFit Games Open WOD 12.1 - Done
Did I mention I signed up for the Open? Did I mention I did it this morning? Did I mention that I’m disappointed in my score?

Did I also mention I’ve been having inflamed knee issue that has creeped it’s ugly head for the past two weeks?
About the last 3 minutes of the hellish 7 minutes it starts to ache. More than likely because I’m exhausted and start to jump more on the balls of my feet rather than flat like I’m supposed to. I tried to be very mindful of Carl Paoili’s video about a great burpee.
I would do another attempt tomorrow for a better score but I don’t want to further aggravate my knee. I should listen to my body.
111118 - 20 MIN AMRAP
6 a.m. is getting much easier to get used to nowadays. And I’m so happy I get to do full warm up (as opposed to being late) and strength / skill and WOD. What’s a burpee pull you ask? The video above shows what a “burpee pullup” is.

10 Burpee Pullups
15 Dead Lift (185/135)
20 Crossovers
6 rounds and scaled using 125# for deadlifts and 5 burpee pullups per round. If I had done the 10 burpee pullups I probably would’ve gotten around 4 rounds, but scaled because I’m new to them, didn’t know how I’d do. I owned those crossovers (criss cross jump roping). Did them all UNBROKEN.

200m row/150m run
20 jumping jacks
10 mountain climbers
10 squats
5 bar power clean/5 bar clean and jerk
bear crawl
Skill: Mobility
WOD “Smoking Gun”
7 rounds
4 burpee deadlifts
3 burpee power cleans
2 burpee squat cleans
1 burpee squat clean and jerks
15:00 cap - 6 rounds + deadlifts + power cleans @ 55lbs
O.M.G. this one was deathly! ok so imagine doing basically a strict pushup (chest must touch bar) onto the barbell before EACH move…for SEVEN rounds! I’m disappointed I couldn’t finish all the rounds, I was so close to finishing, but least I know I still got a damn good workout. Sweated and grunted like a beast.
