Hello fellow Fitblrs. This is me in a onesie, hugging meat. One of my best friend’s and fellow meat lovers, Chris, got me a chest full of of meat for Christmas. Does he know me or does he know me!
He also has started a tumblr. A meat tumblr.
If you are one with meat like we are, go follow The Meat Rack.
What do you give your fellow meat lover, @myquirkylife for Christmas? A chest full of meat!
Did I tell y’all that I went to San Francisco this past weekend? I had an amazing time stomping around with one of my besties.
Healthy Fit Babe
Hello fellow Fitblrs, please go on and follow Healthy Fit Babe, beyond her starting on a hard journey, she is also one of my very best friends who I have known since 6th grade (1996 - yes I’m showing my age here!). She is not only going through a weight loss journey but also battling a battle that makes it all that much harder. Your support, like you have shown me in the past, I know would mean a whole lot to her.
02.20.10 Fancy Date and Day Off

Had myself a lovely Saturday! Little insight into my silly little life is every (most) Saturday my sis and my bff Rachel gather at Starbucks for what we have called a “Bagel Experience” for roughly 4 years now, it’s our tradition and we just sit and chat. It’s just what we call it even though it has been quite a while since I actually got a bagel during these little meetings. I usually make something at home and bring in a tupperware (eggs/toast) or I get Starbucks’ Perfect Oatmeal and always with a coffee. Oh and we do this at about 11 a.m. which ends up being my brunch so I’m not hungry when lunch time hits.
Today was my one day out of the week off from exercise but I just can’t seem to sit still for long, so I cleaned the house, took advantage that the boy roomies had base the entire day so I cleaned our apt for couple hours. But no legit fitness.
Knew I would have a lovely date with my bff aka wifey at night at a fancy restaurant in Redondo Beach called H.T. Grill. Mmmmmmm, their filet mignon is AMAZING. I entered the food as best I could and as accurate. I had about a 5oz filet mignon which I’m sure was cooked in olive oil so I added that too, it had a porcini glaze so there’s the sauce. I’m sure the steamed spinach was made with some butter as well. Prior to my dinner had some sourdough bread little pieces that equaled out to about a slice (maybe less but I rounded up) and dipped in bit of minced garlic.
Ended the night by watching “Valentine’s Day”….what did I think of it? Eh. Definitely the U.S.’ attempt at our own “Love Actually” and it didn’t measure up. It had great potential considering the huge cast of famous faces, and of course had its funny bits but some parts seemed too forced. It was entertaining, but not great. “Love Actually” definitely trumps it.
